Book Description:
When Lauren Monroe first laid eyes on Michael Delaney back in high school, she had every reason to stay away from him; within minutes of their first encounter, his volatile actions confirmed his notorious reputation. But Lauren saw something in him that caused her to question his bad-boy persona, and against her better judgment, she took a chance. She had no way of knowing that the unlikely friendship they formed would become so important to her.
Or that it would end so painfully.
Eight years later, when Lauren begins her new job at Learn and Grow Day Care, Michael is the last person she expects to see. Refusing to revisit the hurt and confusion of their past, Lauren vows to keep her distance from him. But staying away from Michael proves to be more difficult than she thought, despite her lingering grief and her instincts for self-preservation.
As Lauren and Michael recall the friendship that changed them forever and the events that tore them apart, will they finally be able to heal? Or will the ghosts of Michael’s past prove to be too much to overcome?

My Review
5 of 5 Back To You
Back To You is one of those love stories that is real and scary all in one. I absolutely LOVED it! It is rare when you read a love story where the main characters fall in love and then something happens and years later they see each other and fall in love all over again. I have read a few stories like this and they were okay but the emotions and feelings and situation that brought these two together and then apart is one that was interesting to read. I could actually feel Lauren and Michael's feelings as I was reading. I wanted to reach in the book and hug them and tell them that things will work out. Yes they separated for 8 years and Lauren wanted to keep her heart safe and secure so she kept it at bay at first but when she did open up she loved Michael hard.
Lauren knew Michael was a bad boy but she still talked to him in high school because she saw something underneath all that bad boy exterior. Michael knew Lauren was special but he had his demons and he wasn't sure he should talk to Lauren but the heart knows what the heart knows and the heart wanted Lauren so he gave it a chance. But Michael has issues he needs to work through and the two separate on a not so nice note. Lauren has always kept a space in her heart for Michael so when she sees him at her job she shocked to say the lease. Michael is instantly brought back to the past and the love they shared. He knows he wants her but she is having none of that. She is protecting her heart. When she finally decides to let go and give him another chance the love they make and the love they share is like none I have ever seen. Priscilla really knows how to write a love scene because there is one scene in the book where Michael and Lauren get together and it is totally EPIC!
Give Back to You a go because you will not be disappointed! It is a love story like no other and once you start reading it you will see what I am talking about!

This looks like a really good book. I am enjoying the tour.
I hate reading sad books with issues of a bad guy, but I can't resist them either. I just end up crying!! lol.
