Whiskey Lullaby is an AMAZING AMAZING story! I have never laughed, cried, and screamed so much at a book before. I mean I love Chase and the gang but holy effing shizz I love Jase! Every time I hear Whiskey Lullaby I cry like a crazy ass lunatic. Then I read this book and realized the authors used this song I could not put it down. I played the song on repeat and read until I was finished and all cried out.
Julie and Jase are in love. They mean the world to each other and they plan on having a happily ever after but Jase ruined it. See Jase is a player and he couldn't keep his yick in his pants and Julie caught him and she did what was best for her at the time..... she ran away from him and left their town to start a new life. To make matters worse the girl Jase was with was her best friend! What an effing douche but let me say this Jase redeemed himself and I am so glad he did because I wanted to reach into that book and pummel him something fierce.
When Julie ran and started her new life she ran away with a secret. Once she moved she meet a new guy Dean and he became her everything. He was so sweet and wine and dined her and they got married. But Dean wasn't what everyone thought he was. Dean had his secrets and because he came from a powerful family no one knew what he was capable of doing. But when Julie has had enough and she leaves her husband and divorces him Dean is not happy and he decides he will not let her go. No one leaves him and Julie is not going to leave him until he says so. Plus he is a doctor and he has an image to uphold and Julie divorcing him is not an option.
For nine years Jase has drunk himself into a stupor and slept his way through women over the woman he loved and lost because he was an idiot. Then he sees Julie one day and his hopes are risen but that doesn't last long because when Julie left she left with a huge secret she did not tell Jase and when he finds out he is pissed off at her and he is heart broken even worse than before. But he is determined to be with Julie. His decision is only reinforced when her past and ex husband come for her and she is placed in danger.
Can Jase help Julie? Will Jase and Julie end up together? Will Dean get his wife back? When all the secrets come to light and the dust settles will Jase and Julie be a couple?

Dawn Martens: I'm Dawn. I co-wrote a two books (Chase and Kade) with fellow author Chantal Fernando, in the Resisting Love. We went solo on three of the books, she wrote Ryder, and she is writing James, and I'm writing Derek.
