MY REVIEW 5 OF 5 LOVE'S PROPHECY
First I would like to thank Brenda Dyer for allowing me to read and review Love's Prophecy. I have to say when I found out the book was about Vampires and Demons I was super excited to read it. I love Vampire and Demon books but I love them more when the author decides to change up a few things and add a different scenery. Brenda did such an excellent job that I had trouble the book down and I stayed up till 3am reading till I was finished. When I finished the last line I wanted more actually I needed more.So without further ado here is my review on Love's Prophecy.
Vampires and Demons live among the humans unbeknownst to them. The Vampires are warriors sworn to protect the human race while the demons are sent to destroy the human race so Lucifer can take over the Earth. Lucifer will stop at nothing to destroy and corrupt the humans on Earth so that he can take over and rule over mankind and make them the way he wants them to be. The Vampires are warriors who were created to protect humans. The humans have no idea that they are there to protect them from evil demons. The Vampires hunt and kill the demons nightly in order to keep peace on Earth.
Mel is a deadly Vampire Warrior who takes his job seriously. He has not had the greatest of upbringing and things have happened to him that has caused his heart to harden. His past has made him strong and he is the fiercest Vampire Warrior around. One day Mel is at a bar working when he meets Breeana. There is something about Breeana that attracts them to one another and has Mel on edge because he has never felt so strongly about a person let alone a human. As they are talking to one another and sharing some private time two demons see them and decide that Mel has done them wrong therefore they are going to do him wrong by hurting Breeana. Now Mel will have to protect Breeana from the demons he hunts. What will Mel do about Breeana? He loves her and wants to protect her but will his past and what he is dictate what he can do for her?
Breeana is a veterinarian who loves to read. She spends her days helping animals and her nights reading romance novels. in the love department Breeana has struck out and ended up with a broken heart so she stays away from relationships and men. She rather cuddle up with a great book and dream about the men in the book that will not and cannot hurt her. That is until she meets Mel. She has never been instantly attracted to a man like she is to Mel. Afraid of what her new feelings are she takes it slow with Mel but then out on date when the demons tell her they are going to kill her does Breeana realize she has gotten herself caught up in something bigger than a broken heart. Breeana will have to decide on whether or not she will trust Mel and believe what he is telling her or will she walk out on him and fend for herself?
For thousands of years the Vampires have fought the corrupt Demons but with Breeana in the picture will things change for the better or for the worst..... you decide by reading this EPIC book!!!!!!!!!!!!

Title: Don't Be An Arg-ly Pirate
For this article, we're going to do a little exercise. Close your eyes, no wait! Don't close your eyes. You already did, didn't you? I'll wait until your eyes are open before we continue . . . *tapping foot* . . . OK, let's start over.
First scenario: Imagine your dream job, dream class, and dream project. Imagine that you've poured your heart and soul into that project for said class or job. Imagine it took months maybe even years to craft such a master piece. You pushed your own boundaries; you created a life in that project. Then on the day of your presentation, unveiling, or demonstration, everyone already had it, in their hands and knew what you were presenting. How would that make you feel?
Second scenario: Imagine that you are hosting the hottest party your town has ever seen. It's an invite only, to get an invitation, people have to purchase it. These tickets are special, with holographic images and personalized invites; we're talking high-tech. You dropped tons of money on food, drinks, entertainment and venue. Let's say you sell a hundred tickets. On the day of the party, however, instead of everyone going to your party, they go to another party exactly like yours because they downloaded free copies of the invitations off of a website.
Do you see where I'm going with this?
Many experts say that the piracy of e-books isn't as severe as music and movie piracy. They claim that because the publishing industry was already creating e-books, readers have the alternative. (It took the music industry years to begin producing their music in MP3 form.) They also say what does it hurt when all these indie and self-published authors sell their books for $0.99. to that I say, "BLEH!" A little immature I know, but stealing is stealing. In ancient days, a thief would get their hand chopped off when they were caught stealing, whether it was an apple or gold coins. Now I'm not saying to chop hands off, but when did we forget that if it's wrong on a large scale it's wrong on a small scale.
I'm not going to lie. I've ripped music off of my friend's CD's before. *I never used Napster, because as embarrassing as it is to admit I didn't completely understand it* I've watched bootleg movies. If I were to sit here and say that I didn't it would be like a president denying that he smoked pot. Any of them. Everyone did it, does it, has done it. That doesn't make it right. I didn't understand what the big deal was, until I was on the other end. When you pirate e-books, it hurts the publisher (traditional, indie, or s-p) it steals from the author who poured their heart and soul into those words. Heart and soul, I bleed for my characters, laugh and cry with them. If you've ever had something that you valued so fiercely you might understand how damaging it could be to learn people are stealing your work.
"So it's one book, that Author is making millions." Not really, especially if they are indie or s-p. I have yet to become a hundred-aire, let alone a thousand-aire . . . you get the idea.
We write, not to become famous, but to share a story. We write so that the reader can escape, or doesn't feel alone. We want to connect with readers and show them that we're all the same.
Have I enlightened your mind yet?
To make it right, here are a few things you can do:
1. Purchase the books you've stolen, and for brownie points recommend the books you've stolen by writing reviews on your blog, Amazon, Bn.com goodreads, shelfarie. ect. And recommend them to all of your friends. 2. Request the books at your local library. It's really hard for an indie author to break into Libraries, especially if there's no demand for it. Help us out. 3. (This one is severe) Become an anti-piracy advocate. Stand up when you witness acts of piracy. Don't just sit back and let it happen. Sometimes it's hard to do the right thing when everyone else doesn't. Show your character, and be a leader.
Final point: Most indie authors will give their e-book to you for an honest review. I know I will. It doesn't even have to be a good review, though I do LOVE those, but an honest review. With technology, you can connect with even traditionally published authors, who might develop a soft spot for you. I guess, my main point here is, think before you act. Think about the impact of your actions, how you would feel if it happened to you, and how to make a difference.
Book Description:
"You may kill somebody today. We won't think anything less of you for it."
Nick Klein's grandfather was the Rocket.
For three decades, the Rocket and his team were the Heroes League--a team of superheroes who fought criminals in the years after World War II.
But Nick and his friends have inherited more than their grandparents' costumes and underground headquarters... they've inherited the League's enemies and unfinished business.
In the 1960's, Red Lightning betrayed everyone, creating an army of supervillains and years of chaos. The League never found out why.
Now, Nick and the New Heroes League will have no choice but to confront their past.
Excerpt #1:
“What I’m thinking,” Jaclyn’s grandfather said, “is that stealth would be best. Travis and Haley, you both have Chuck’s abilities, correct?”
Travis said, “Yes, sir,” while Haley said, “Right,” in a chirpy voice that seemed out of place.
“Good. Then I think the two of them should sneak in, knock him out, and leave.”
“Unless the mayor senses them and bores straight into their heads,” Daniel said.
“That’s the hole in the plan,” Jaclyn’s grandfather said, amused.
That you could drive a truck through, Daniel sent to me.
In both of our minds, Daniel’s dad said: Listen.
“Since stealth isn’t an option,” Jaclyn’s grandfather said, straightening in his chair, “we’ll have to take the direct route. Larry, could you take the Rhinomobile straight up to the door?”
Larry laughed. “I could drive it into the living room.”
“That’s not what I want you to do. I want you to drive straight up to the house and distract the police and the Guard. Fight them if you have to. Everyone who can’t fly will be with you.
"Everyone who can fly will be going in through the second floor. Nick, you’ll want to hang back while Daniel and his dad subdue the mayor. Someone will need to be watching for aerial attacks.”
“Is that likely?” I asked.
“Anything’s possible,” he said. “The Hangmen are in town. They’ve already been beaten back from the mayor’s house once today. When the Rhinomobile breaks through, it’ll be a race between you and Vengeance’s Hangmen. Be there first.”
He moved his head to face everyone at the table, regarding us with his near-sightless eyes.
“One more thing: you may kill somebody today. We don’t want you to, but sometimes it’s unavoidable. We won’t think anything less of you for it.”
“No. It can be avoided,” Daniel’s dad said. “Always. And it should be. Whatever we might think, in the public’s opinion you’ll have killed an innocent man.”
“Not in my experience,” Jaclyn’s grandfather said.
Daniel’s dad stood up. “We need to talk through a few things privately. Nick, is the lab unlocked?”
MY REVIEW
5 OF 5 SUPER HEROES
About the Author:
Jim Zoetewey grew up in Holland, Michigan, near where L Frank Baum wrote The Wizard of Oz and other books in that series. Admittedly, Baum moved away more than sixty years before Jim was even born, but it's still kind of cool. He's a web developer, a religion and sociology major, and the author of the superhero series The Legion of Nothing. He's also not sure why he's writing this in the third person, but he's never seen an author bio written in first person and doesn't want to rock the boat.
When Emma Walker wakes up in the hospital with no knowledge of how she got there, she learns that she's been in a coma for six months. Strangers show up and claim to be her parents, but she can't remember them. She can't remember anyone. Not her friends, not even her boyfriend. Even though she can't remember, everyone wants her to just pick up where she left off, but what she learns about the 'old her' makes her start to wish she'd never woken up. Her boyfriend breaks up with the new girl he's dating to be with her, her parents want her to start planning for college, her friends want their leader back, and her physical therapist with the hazel eyes keeps his distance to save his position at the hospital.
Will she ever feel like she recognizes the girl in the mirror?
Someone was speaking. No, he was yelling. It sounded angry, but my body refused to cooperate with my commands to open my eyes and be nosy. I tried to move my arms and again, there was no help from my limbs. It didn't strike me as odd until then.
I heard, "All I'm saying is that you need to be on time from now on." Then a slammed door startled me. I felt my lungs suck in breath that burned and hissed unlike anything I'd ever felt before. It was as if my lungs no longer performed that function and were protesting.
Then I heard a noise, a gaspy sound, and my cheek was touched by warm fingers. "Emma?" I tried to pry my eyes and felt the glue that seemed to hold them hostage begin to let go. "Emma?"
Who was Emma? I felt the first sliver of light and tried to lift my arm to shield myself, but it wouldn't budge. Whoever was in the room with me must've seen me squint, because the light was doused almost immediately to a soft glow. My eyelids fluttered without strength. I tried to focus on the boy before me. Or maybe he was a man. He was somewhere in between. I didn't know who he was, but he seemed shocked that I was looking up at him.
"Emma, just hold on. I'm your physical therapist and you're in the hospital. Your…" he looked back toward the door, "parents aren't here right now, but we'll call them. Don't worry."
I looked quizzically at him. What was he was going on and on about? That was when I saw the tubes on my chest connecting my face to the monitors. The beeping felt like a knife through my brain. I looked at the stranger's hazel eyes and pleaded with him to explain.
He licked his lips and said softly, "Emma, you were in an accident. You've been in a coma. They weren't sure if…you'd wake up or not."
Of everything he just said, the only thing I could think was, 'Who's Emma?' Shelly is a YA author from a small town in Georgia and loves everything about the south. She is wife to a fantastical husband and stay at home mom to two boisterous and mischievous boys who keep her on her toes. They currently reside in everywhere USA as they happily travel all over with her husband's job. She loves to spend time with her family, binge on candy corn, go out to eat at new restaurants, buy paperbacks at little bookstores, site see in the new areas they travel to, listen to music everywhere and also LOVES to read.
Her own books happen by accident and she revels in the writing and imagination process. She doesn't go anywhere without her notepad for fear of an idea creeping up and not being able to write it down immediately, even in the middle of the night, where her best ideas are born.

Book 1: If I Were You
Book 2: Being Me
Book 3: Revealing Us
About IF I WERE YOU… How it began…
One day I was a high school teacher on summer break, leading a relatively uneventful but happy life. Or so I told myself. Later, I’d question that, as I would question pretty much everything I knew about me, my relationships, and my desires. It all began when my neighbor thrust a key to a storage unit at me. She’d bought it to make extra money after watching some storage auction show. Now she was on her way to the airport to elope with a man she barely knew, and she needed me to clear out the unit before the lease expires.
Soon, I was standing inside a small room that held the intimate details of another woman’s life, feeling uncomfortable, as if I was invading her privacy. Why had she let these items so neatly packed, possessions that she clearly cared about deeply, be lost at an auction? Driven to find out by some unnamed force, I began to dig, to discover this woman’s life, and yes, read her journals—-dark, erotic journals that I had no business reading. Once I started, I couldn’t stop. I read on obsessively, living out fantasies through her words that I’d never dare experience on my own, compelled by the three men in her life, none of whom had names. I read onward until the last terrifying dark entry left me certain that something had happened to this woman. I had to find her and be sure she was okay.
Before long, I was taking her job for the summer at the art gallery, living her life, and she was nowhere to be found. I was becoming someone I didn’t know. I was becoming her.
The dark, passion it becomes…
Now, I am working at a prestigious gallery, where I have always dreamed of being, and I’ve been delivered to the doorstep of several men, all of which I envision as one I’ve read about in the journal. But there is one man that will call to me, that will awaken me in ways I never believed possible. That man is the ruggedly sexy artist, Chris Merit, who wants to paint me. He is rich and famous, and dark in ways I shouldn’t find intriguing, but I do. I so do. I don’t understand why his dark side appeals to me, but the attraction between us is rich with velvety promises of satisfaction. Chris is dark, and so are his desires, but I cannot turn away. He is damaged beneath his confident good looks and need for control, and in some way, I feel he needs me. I need him.
All I know for certain is that he knows me like I don’t even know me, and he says I know him. Still, I keep asking myself — do I know him? Did he know her, the journal writer, and where is she? And why doesn’t it seem to matter anymore? There is just him and me, and the burn for more.

BOOK SONG BROKEN BY LIFE-HOUSE MY REVIEW
5 OF 5 POSIES
***THIS IS AN ADULT BOOK, 18 YEARS OR OLDER. CONTAINS MATERIAL NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNG ADULTS***
OH MY FLIPPING GOD!!!!!!!!!! THIS BOOK IS SO MUCH MORE THAN FIFTY SHADES AND BASIC INSTINCT. Man where to begin with this review. I have read a lot of erotica and adult books lately but I have to say That Lisa has added some things to her story that stands out among the rest. I did not feel like I reading about Fifty and I sure as hell did not thing basic instincts because this story really has so many dimensions to it I could not get my head wrapped around it. First the characters are so different from any I have read about. I know a lot of people have said no one can fall in love that fast, well to them I say they may not but other people do and it is reality.
I have done some research into the BDSM world and I have talked to people who are in it and I can see the pull towards it and I can see how people fall in love so fast because it is like a drug and the adrenaline rush you get from it is like no other. To them it is like para gliding or bungee jumping the adrenaline brings you places you have never been before and before you realize it you are hooked and can't remember how it has happened. So now that I have bored you with a little back ground I will get to the real deal and this the story.
Sara is a school teacher that is on summer vacation. She is looking forward to spending some quality time reading and enjoying her summer of tutoring students. One night her neighbor is over watching TV and enjoying Sara's company when her boyfriend calls her to go over to his house. The neighbor leaves and forgets her journal and Sara being curious reads it and is shocked to read what is in it. The next day the neighbor comes back to make sure she has not lost the journal and Sara is embarrassed because she read the journal. That is when her neighbor tells her it is not hers but it belongs to the woman who left her stuff in storage and is selling it. The neighbor is so excited about the paintings and the other journals and Sara tells her she can't sell someones private things. Her neighbor tells her she will make a lot of money by selling this things and has no intention on keeping them.
Sara is so shocked by this but what can she do. Then the neighbor comes and tells her the next morning she is eloping with her boyfriend and she is on her way to Paris and Sara can have the storage unit and sell it or whatever but it is her's to keep. Sara is excited because she really enjoyed the journals. They were dark and dirty and there is something in those journals that call to Sara. She decides from that moment on she will find this Rebecca and return her things to her. Sara's first stop is trying to find out information on Rebecca and when she starts to dig in the storage unit she finds a brochure for the gallery she worked at. Sara is excited because she loves art and majored in it in college. Sara goes home and looks up information about the gallery and decides she will go to a unveiling of a famous painter that she loves for a charity. While there she meets this guy who she is so taken with. Their is something about this guy and he is so knowledgeable about art that they talk and before you know it they are talking about different artists.
As Sara is looking for the Art gallery owner he finds her and they talk about Rebecca which he says she is on an extended vacation but Sara is not buying it. Then the oddest thing happens and Sara ends up selling a painting to a couple looking to buy a piece for their main party room. The owner of gallery is impressed by Sara and asks her if she would like to work for him and she agrees. See Sara has a secret that she is keeping and that is she has always wanted to work in the art industry but it does not pay the bills. So she has stayed away from it and became a teacher instead. She is not happy being a teacher because her passion is in the art world where Mark the gallery owner has offered her a great summer. After agreeing to work for him and start that Monday Mark asks her if Chris Merit who is one of her favorite artists she studied in school proud of her for selling his painting. She has no idea what Mark is talking about and he realizes that Chris never told her who he was. The guy she was talking to the whole time was Chris Merit and she never knew it.
Sara will soon learn that their are lots of lies and secrets shrouded in the disappearance of Rebecca. As she reads the journals and delves deeper into the life Rebecca had she will find out Rebecca was a tortured soul and did things in the name of love. She allowed her heart to rule instead of her mind and her instincts. She should have followed her instincts because some things are better left alone. Will Sara follow the same path as Rebecca or will she carve her own path? Will she be forced to face her own demons? Will Sara's past come back to haunt her? Will she be caught up in a love triangle? Or will she chose Mark or Chris? As Sara will soon find out everyone has a past and the past can be a dangerous thing. Will she succumb to lust? Will she giver herself to a broken damaged man? This is such a must read for this summer I am going to re-read it a thousand times! I love the story line and the ending is OMG! I have no words for the ending except I NEED BOOK TWO RIGHT NOW!!!!!! PRONTO!!!!!!!!
INTERVIEW WITH LISA RENEE JONES
Lisa thank you so much for stopping by Kaidans Seduction. It is the day before your release of If I Were You and I know you are busy busy getting ready for your release. I first want to say that I was so RIVETED by IIWY that I stayed up until 3am in the morning to finish reading it and when I got to the end I yelled at my kindle fire OH NO OH NO…… such a riveting ending. You have the right kind of spice and mystery going on. Chris oh Chris be still my heart he is the ultimate bad boy wrapped up into a beautiful package and Mark oh man tall, dark, and handsome comes to mind but controlling to the nth degree to is HOT! Well enough of my rambling because I could go on for days about the book and skip the interview but the girls have already told me they would kill me if I did not ask you some questions.
What inspired you to write IIWY?
My fiancee and I had started buying and selling storage units, and he’d found a journal he began to read. He was immediately enthralled and couldn’t stop reading. The author had drama and even a murder next oor. It was then that he began to urge me to write a story about a journal found in a storage unit that was both sexy and mysterious. He loves thrillers and so do I. At first I wasn’t excited but I began jotting down notes and over time the story took root. I think it became more powerful because I took so much time learning the characters.
When will we find out what happened to Chris in his childhood to make him the way he is?
These answers will come in book 2 for sure
Can you tell us why Mark and Chris do not get along?
This is also part of book 2:)
When will we find out what happened to Rebecca?
Book 2 will give you a firm conclusion to Rebecca’s story
Why did Sara really give up her career in the arts?
There Is a lot about Sara’s family that will be discovered in book 2 and it has a lot to do with all of her decisions
What is the significance of the song Broken by Lifehouse?
Both Sara and Chris have some history yet to be revealed and they both feel very broken
What is the significance of the wine Chateau Montelena?
Chris is from Paris and the Chateau helped put Sonoma on the map by being chosen in a wine competition in Paris
Can you give us 5 random facts about Sara, Chris, and Mark that we did not get to read in the book?
I’m afraid to do this because there are so many things you discover in book 2 and I don’t want to ruin the experience:)
When will the second book be released?
Book 2 is Feb 1 and Book 3 May 1
How much research did you do for the BDSM part of the book?
I did quite a lot and boy did I get some stuff I wasn’t looking for. You stumble onto a lot of stuff when you research and weed through it to find valuable, quality information from people who really know what they are talking about.
Lisa, than you so much again for stopping by and sharing your world with us. I am HUGE fan and can’t wait to read more from you. I am just so excited for you and Congrats on your new release tomorrow!
A short excerpt from IF I WERE YOU:
His fingers knot in my hair and I gasp at the unexpected bite of his grip, holding me steady. “Is that all you got?” I demand, shocked at how much I want more. How much I want whatever is beneath his surface.
I’m not scared. I’m aroused. I’m ready.
His eyes probe mine, his expression hard, intense. “I thought you were a good little school teacher.”
“You’re corrupting me,” I declare, “and I seem to like it.” I barely issue the challenge before he’s pulling my mouth to his, and he is kissing me with unrestrained, burning passion. I taste the part of him I want to know, the part he’s afraid of, and I burn to know more. Maybe he’s right. Maybe I am playing with fire, but I cannot stop myself. Beyond reason, I will push him until he reveals everything.

Book Description
"Enforcer Fontana Marks is on vacation undercover until she has to testify against the Track Cartel for crimes against the Galactic Coalition. But the cartel is hiding something, and Fontana intends to find out what--then make them pay for murdering Jenny, the young scientist Fontana failed to protect on a previous assignment.
The last thing Fontana intends to do while vacationing incognito on the fantasy resort Sagitariun is follow the advice of her superior. "Rest, recuperate, and find a man."
But how can a woman resist a blond, blue-eyed, chisel-jawed, great-assed man streaking naked in public when he's obviously running from someone? And why can't she to get rid of the damned trench coat she stole to rescue him?"
Excerpt: Adult 18+ excerpt
Fontana spotted trouble when the man first burst into Spacer Jack’s Bar and Grill. It wasn’t his chiseled jaw and blond hair or the way he scanned the joint with his intense blue eyes. No, the trouble was—he was naked. The towel wrapped around his slim hips had snagged on the swinging bar door when he entered, and he didn’t look back in his sprint toward the kitchen. He shot past where Fontana sat at the bar, his muscular ass bunching with the effort of his long strides.
Her pulse jumped. If that's trouble, I want some.
The naked man disappeared through the kitchen doors. A collision of bodies sounded.
In all her years of undercover work, she had never come across a situation quite like this. And probably wouldn’t again.
Fontana seized the naked man’s arm, hauled him to his feet, and threw the coat over his shoulders as she bolted with him toward the rear exit. She dragged him through the back door, and they practically fell into the back alley by the dumpsters. A furry rodent skittered from nearby tin cans and disappeared behind a stack of pallets. She couldn’t help a smile. The alley was a replica of mid-twentieth-century Earth, complete with robo-rats and all.
She grasped the man’s shoulders and shoved him against the restaurant wall. Her pulse sped up when the steely muscles beneath her fingers tensed. How was it possible for his hard body to get any harder? She’d seen Aslothian gladiators with less muscle. His blue-eyed gaze locked on to hers.
Fontana ignored the tremor that rippled through her, pressed her body against his solid two meter frame, and demanded, “What the hell is going on?”
His cock pulsed against her abdomen and began to thicken. This diversion was exactly what her superior, Colonel Stephaney Lyons, had ordered. “Find a man and reaffirm life. Let him fuck your brains out.” The colonel wasn’t usually one for getting quite so personal or so crude, but she knew how angry Fontana was about Jenny’s death and the failure of the mission on Rigil IV.
The naked man grasped her shoulders and drew her closer. “Who are you?” His drawl belied the intensity of his stare.
Well, well, a man who knew how to pace himself. Fontana slipped a hand between them and wrapped her fingers around his erection. Her mouth went dry. He was hard as a rock. She squeezed the thick rod. He hardened even more beneath her fingers.
“I’m asking the questions.” Damn if she didn’t sound like Detective Friday from the twentieth-century series Dragnet. Dragnet’s brand of law was before the Criminal Rights Act of 2141.
The naked man gave a low laugh. “Oh, tough girl.”
“Who are you running from?”
“Maybe I should be running from you.”
“Not while I have hold of this.” She yanked his cock with just enough force to keep his attention.
He sucked in a breath.
Now she had him. “I can play yanky-panky all night.”
His shaft throbbed, and his warm hands slid down her arms, stopping to rest on her hips. Long fingers flexed against her carbon-fiber parachute pants. That and the halter she wore were a woman’s standard garb in Spacers. She released him when he rolled her mound against his rod. Fontana grasped his arms and angled her hips so that the steely length slid along her clit. He groaned, and the sound sent butterflies skittering across the inside of her stomach.
