Faking It (Losing It #2) by Cora Carmack Early Review

Mackenzie “Max” Miller has a problem. Her parents have arrived in town for a surprise visit, and if they see her dyed hair, tattoos, and piercings, they just might disown her. Even worse, they’re expecting to meet a nice, wholesome boyfriend, not a guy named Mace who has a neck tattoo and plays in a band. All her lies are about to come crashing down around her, but then she meets Cade.

Cade moved to Philadelphia to act and to leave his problems behind in Texas. So far though, he’s kept the problems and had very little opportunity to take the stage. When Max approaches him in a coffee shop with a crazy request to pretend to be her boyfriend, he agrees to play the part. But when Cade plays the role a little too well, they’re forced to keep the ruse going. And the more they fake the relationship, the more real it begins to feel.

My Review

5 of 5 Cade and Max

Cora Carmack has done it again! I mean she blew me away with Losing It which is the story of Garrick and Bliss. Then I see she has written the story of Cade Winston and HOLY HELL I start jumping in my seat because Bliss broke Cade's heart but I loved him to pieces. So when I found out he was going to get his own story I was all for it and I have to say that Cora topped Losing It with Faking It! Man I buddy read it with my girl Kayleigh and we could not get enough of our man Cade Winston.

Cade let his heart hang all out and took a chance when he told his best friend Bliss that he was in love with her and wanted to be with her. Bliss of course is in love with her teacher Garrick and they can't get enough of each other. So she tells Cade that and his heart is broken and to make things worse he and Bliss and Garrick are going to the same town where he is going to grad school and Bliss and Garrick are going to act.

Holding on to the hope that Bliss and Garrick will break up Cade holds on to his hope that one day she will come to Cade. When that bubble is burst by something you have to read about Cade is determined to get over Bliss. Then he meets this gorgeous girl in the coffee shop and it changes his life forever. It gives him something he has needed since he left college and his heart.

Mackenzie "Max" Miller is coasting day by day and trying to live her own life. She wants to forget the past but she can't seem to get over it. Her parents are hell bent on ruining her life and her one dream of being a musician. Then if life was not cruel enough her parents are in town and want to see her but she can't let them meet her boyfriend because he is tattooed from head to toe and he has piercings. Seeing no other way she approaches Cade in the coffee shop and asks him to play along with her as if he is her boyfriend. Cade agrees because he is an actor after all but what happens to the both of them after that day in the coffee shop is the crux of the story and lord baby Jesus is it one story that I will read and re-read for years to come!

And if you missed the book that started it all Losing It Here is the link to read about it!

Virginity.

Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible-- a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.

My Review

5 of 5 Garrick and Bliss

Losing it is one of those stories where your like HUH... NO WAY... VIRGIN... WTH.....

Losing it was an amazing story about a girl named Bliss who is a senior in college and still has her virginity in tack. She wants to lose it but every time she tries she freezes up and she can't perform. She is in her last year at college and is so determined to lose her virginity because she wants to graduate knowing she lost the one thing that everyone around her has lost. It doesn't help that she has a best friend who bags and tags guys on a regular basis.

Then Bliss and her friend decide to go to the club for some dancing and drinking and that is where Bliss meets this GORGEOUS guy with a British accent. They hit it off right away and she decides to go home with him but when they are in her apartment and are about to intimate she chickens out and can't do it. Leaving him there to figure out what the hell just happened she tries to gather her bearings. To make matters worse she goes to school the next day and her knew theater teacher is yes you guessed it none other than the gorgeous guy she left naked in her bed a few hours ago.

As Bliss freaks out she can only think of how much she wants him but she can't seem to get over her fears of being intimate. Her best friend thinks she has done it and she is in no hurry to tell her the truth. To add to the craziness is that Bliss's other friend Cade is in love with her and has been ever since they have become friends but he does not want things to get weird between them. But as life and college would have it it does get weird for them and Bliss has to make a decision as to who she wants to be with. The best friend or Garrick the British Babe!

This story was great and funny but it did have a serious undertone and that is that Virginity is something every girl should cherish and not rush to give away because once you do you can never ever get it back. Carmack did a great job with this one and I need a whole story of Cade the best guy friend a girl could have!
