Around The World ARC Tours Presents an Early Review for Even If the Sky Falls by Mia Garcia

Synopsis:
All she needs is one night to be anyone she wants.

Julie is desperate for a change. So she heads to New Orleans with her youth group to rebuild houses and pretend her life isn’t a total mess. But between her super-clingy team leader and her way-too-chipper companions, Julie feels more trapped than ever.

In a moment of daring, she ditches her work clothes for DIY fairy wings and heads straight into the heart of Mid-Summer Mardi Gras, where she locks eyes with Miles, an utterly irresistible guy with a complicated story of his own. And for once, Julie isn’t looking back. She jumps at the chance to see the real New Orleans, and in one surreal night, they dance under the stars, share their most shameful secrets, and fall in love.

But their adventure takes an unexpected turn when an oncoming hurricane changes course. As the storm gains power and Julie is pulled back into chaos she finds pretending everything is fine is no longer an option.

Mia García’s Even If the Sky Falls is a whirlwind twenty-four-hour romance about discovering what it means to feel alive in the face of life’s greatest danger: love.

Goodreads:

Review:
Holy New Orleans! Hurricanes, love, stars, dancing, and falling in love who needs more. This story is so amazing that I loved it right from the start. I started reading it at 11:00am and finished it the nest day at 3:00am in the morning. I just could not put it down.

Julie is an amazing main character. She has so much going on in her life right now. Her brother is home from war not the same. He is suffering from PTSD and the family is not handling it well. Her parents are just acting like nothing is wrong and Julie can't take it anymore. She needs a break and she knows just what to do, she signs up to volunteer in New Orleans.

Off to New Orleans to build houses she is excited about the change in her life. But she can't stand her companions and her staff leader is way to friendly for her liking. Julie is feeling trapped again so she decides to hang up her work outfit and go to Mardi Gras. Once she is in the thick of Mardi Gras she sees a handsome guy. Miles sees Julie and he knows he must get to know her. They start talking and before you know it they are sharing secrets and dancing under the stars.

Soon Julie is falling in love with Miles when she realizes that the weather is changing and bells and alarms are sounding off because a hurricane is coming. Will it destroy New Orleans and Julie and Miles new found love or will they survive this hurricane......
