"A chain of advertising agencies, a new breed of humans, and a fallen angel to worship…
Andel Talistokov is known for his slick advertising agencies across the globe. He is a fallen angel that uses advertising as a weapon for Satan's work. His growing power emboldens him to break several of Hell’s Commandments. Furious with his arrogance, Satan commands him to return to Hell after finding his own replacement. Yezidism, an ancient angel worshiping religion, quietly expands throughout the West. Armaros appears as a guest of honor during their ceremonies. He mates with young women to produce nephilim, a mixed race of humans and angels. They are alone and unprepared for their supernatural power. Joanna Easterhouse, a recovering drug addict, steps out of prison shortly after her mother's fatal accident. She and her sister, Kim, unravel their mother's secretive past. Intrigued, they learn their bloodline is part of a celestial legacy. Both worlds collide. Halo of the Damned is a horrifying tale that weaves research together with suspenseful twists and turns."
MY REVIEW:
First I would love to thank FMB Tours for allowing me to be a part of this tour. I have to say that when I first saw the cover of this book I was intrigued then I read the blurb and said I have to read this book. The cover drew me in for a number of reasons and one being that I am a huge fan of Angels and Demons stories. There is something about good VS evil that makes or breaks a story. Dina has a little of everything in this story and I love the fact that you really don't know what is going to happen next so your left wondering what is going to happen.
Andel is a fallen angel disguised as an ad agency CEO. He is a fallen angel out to reek havoc and that is exactly what happens. He becomes bold and tries Lucifer by breaking several of hell's rules and doing what he wants to do. His carefree attitude drives people crazy because the only person who can stop him is Lucifer himself.
Then you have Joanna and Kim who are sisters just trying survive in life. They uncover a secret their mother has kept from them and what comes to light is something the sisters will have to decipher. They will seek answers to the question of what is their true heritage? Where do they come from? How will anything be the same in their lives? They will have to face the truth that there is good and evil in this world. What side will they choose and once they choose a side will they true to their heritage or themselves.
This was an action packed read and in the end it left me asking the question what would I do in that situation. This is a must read for all angel lovers out there. Give it a go and have fun in this action packed adventure.

Excerpt:
Andel Talistokov watched Marcus, his assistant (among other titles) scrub his office cleaner than an ICU room. He carried
Catalina’s fresh head into the custom-made panic room he had built before occupying the building.
The room was twenty feet below the basement, and he and Marcus were the only ones who knew about it. Inside the room were a toilet, table, and kitchenette equipped with basic appliances.
The refrigerator acted as a personal trophy case, displaying an array of severed heads from previous victims. He enjoyed looking at them. There were currently three other heads in the freezer. Andel bagged them up to make room for Catalina’s head.
He didn’t want her face to compete with his other victims. She was special. She was his daughter.
Halo of the Damned Playlist:
Main Song: Possum Kingdom by the Toadies
The song has such a seductive, evil sound to it that inspired my writing.
Cocaine by Eric Clapton
Main character, Joanna Easterhouse, has addiction problems. Cocaine put her in jail for a couple of years.
She Talks to Angels by Black Crowes
Maria, Joanna's 6 year old niece, spent a great deal of time with her grandmother. Angels are involved.
One Last Breath by Creed
This song is about suicide. Joanna's brother, Will, kills himself as a teen.
Soul to Squeeze by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Andel/Armaros collects souls via his advertising empire.
Bad Romance by Lady Gaga
Refers to Joanna's beginning romance with Tony.
Halo by Beyonce
The title and the story line has a halo in it.
Like a Prayer by Madonna
Characters pray to Satan and his fallen.
We Belong by Pat Benatar
Great love song that goes with Joanna's and Tony's feelings for each other.
Ending song: Free Fallin by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Song resolves many things but leaves openings for the sequel that I'm currently working on.
