MY REVIEW

5 OF 5 SLAMMED

Slammed is such a heart wrenching and gut searing read that it had me on the edge of my seat. I have to say that at first I was thinking okay so Layken is 18 and Will is 21 that is not to bad in the age department. That was until I found out why their love is forbidden and that was when my heart broke. Dam I felt like Lake and Will could not catch a break. The phrase two steps forward is two steps back came to mind.

Lake has just moved from her life long home. Her father has passed away and she and her mother and brother are moving to start a new life. She has to be strong for her family but on the inside she is crumbling. That is until she meets Will. Lord Will is everything to her. He is smart funny and sexy all wrapped into one. They become fast friends and before you know it they are going on dates and hanging out before Lake returns to school. But what happens next ripped my heart out because Lake and Will are about to experience what true love really is and how hard it is to be with the one you love.

Will is Lake's neighbor and when he sees her moving in he goes over to ask her if she needs help. He is soon enraptured by Lake's sense of humor and her warmth. See Will is no ordinary 21 year old. He is raising his brother because his parents died in a car accident. So he and Lake know what it is to lose someone you love the most. Will is still in college and he is almost done with school and his plans are pretty solid as to what he would like to do until he meets Lake and they fall in love.

They will have many ups and downs and tragedy will strike one of them again and it will be very difficult to handle. What will the secret do to them? Will they be able to have a relationship? Will they ever be able to not suffer from the casualties of life?

Hardships and heartache brought them together…now it will tear them apart.

Layken and Will have proved their love can get them through anything; until someone from Will’s past re-emerges, leaving Layken questioning the very foundation on which their relationship was built. Will is forced to face the ultimate challenge…how to prove his love for a girl who refuses to stop ‘carving pumpkins.’

MY REVIEW

5 OF 5 POINT OF RETREAT

WOW I LOVE WILL AND LAKE'S STORY!

Man this is the continuation of Will and Lake's story. They have gone through so much in the first book and still continue to not get a break. Someone close to Lake has died and she is left reeling from the death. She and Will are still trying to work out the issues that cause them to be separated. Let's make no mistake Will and Lake love each other and they are right for each other but for them to have an open and honest relationship in public could destroy Will and everything he has worked for.

Lake knows this so she tries to keep it together but it is hard when all you want is to be in someone's arms and have them hold you and love you but you can't. She is tired of denying herself the love she craves. If matters could not get worse someone from Will's past is determined to come back into his life like she never left and Will will have to fight hard to stay away from that person and keep his relationship with Lake.

Will makes mistakes along the way and he Lake have their ups and downs but in the end they find their way back to each other and the love they deserve. What will Will do when he is confronted by his past? What will Lake do when she realizes she may lose Will? Can the two of them come up on top for once? This is the greatest love story I have read in a long time and I was so torn up and mad at times with Will but he needed to find his way and put himself out there in order for him to see that what he had in front of him was all that he needed.
Oh, man. Profiles suck! But,here we go. I'm addicted to and seriously floored by the talent of The Avett Brothers band, which is obvious in both of my books. They are 99% of my playlist. The other 1% being Eminem and Jason Mraz.

I love lindor truffles (the white ones with the chips inside) and have an unhealthy addiction to diet pepsi. A serious addiction.

I get stoked whenever I get a message from goodreads saying I have a new friend request...so request me, dangit!
