If you'd asked me what love was two years ago, I probably would've said, 'It's this amazing feeling that obsesses and possesses you; it's what me and my husband currently have.' If you ask me that same question today, I'll say, 'Please get the hell out of my face.’' Claire Gracen's life is picture perfect. Her career as a marketing director is on the brink of being legendary, and her marriage to her high school sweetheart has never been stronger.
No, wait. It has. It used to be amazing and fulfilling, but one day Claire realizes that she's been living a lie and her best friend and husband have committed the ultimate betrayal. Broken and depressed, Claire is in need of something new—new city, new job, new friends. When she happens to attract the interest of the sexiest man she's ever met, a man significantly younger than her, she immediately turns him down—only to later discover that this man is Jonathan Statham, self-made billionaire and CEO of Statham Industries.
Her boss. Jonathan Statham is unlike any man she's met before. He's used to getting whatever he wants—whenever he wants, and he isn't about to take no for an answer. Sexy, unpredictable, and charmingly clever, Mid Life Love is a story that will captivate you, entertain you, and force you to fall deeply in love with the characters.
My Review
5 of 5 Mid Life Love
Mid Life Love made me laugh, cry, and scream at my kindle like a crazy ass woman. I have to say that this book is incredible and should be read by every woman over the age of 30 who has thought they had a great marriage only to find out it was all a lie.
Claire is the perfect wife, mother and co-worker. She loves her husband and her twin daughters and she loves her perfect job. She has her best friend by her side so what more could she ask for? Well you see behind all that picture perfect facade Claire gets the shock of a life time. See her husband who is so perfect and her best friend who is so perfect are having an affair and when her best friend gets pregnant by her husband he decides to leave her for his mistress. Okay so here I have to stop and rant a little because what a total douche bag he and her best friend were. I mean really how the hell can you do that to someone you say you love?
With everything that went down Claire decides she needs a new place to live and a new life and a new job so she does just that. She decides she will raise and protect her girls from ever having to suffer from their fathers ill fated choices. Before starting her new job Claire meets this gorgeous guy but she keeps it platonic because she has been crushed and she is not looking for any love at all. Then she gets the shock of a lifetime when she goes to work and meets her boss the very sexy rich man Jonathan Statham who was the cute guy she meet earlier.
Once Jonathan sees Claire again he is determined to have her in his bed and every where else because he wants her like no ones business. The only thing is Claire is determined to stay away from him because he is 29 years old and she is 40. Why does he want her when her own husband who is her age did not want her? But Jonathan lord I loved Jonathan is determined to prove her wrong and show her how serious he is about having her and what he will give to her and her daugther's because he cares for her girls.
The question remains is Claire willing to let go of the past and move on to the future with a great guy? What will she do....................
A self-diagnosed candy addict, travel junkie, and hypochondriac, Whitney Gracia Williams LOVES to write about characters that make you laugh, cry, and want to (in the case of Selena Ross) reach through your Kindle and slap them. She is the "imaginary bestselling" author of the Jilted Bride Series, Mid Life Love, Wasted Love, and Captain of My Soul.
