My Review
5 of 5 Manic
Manic is one hell of a follow up book. I have to say that I love the cover and it fits perfect with the story. Manic picks up right where Tragic left off. Rook is ready to move on with her life. She has a great future ahead of her with Spencer and the Sturgis Contract. The contract stated she would do three months of body art modeling being painted and pictured what else could a girl ask for. Spencer would paint her and Antoine would photograph her man this the dream job she thought to herself and then she re-read her contract and realized she missed one key element to it and that was she would be staring in a reality show for Spencer's biker channel. Holy Freak what the hell she had no idea what that meant because she did not read the contract all the way through. But Rook being Rook decided she was going to go through with it and not renig on the contract.
As Rook takes on her new job and enjoys it she has to deal with a few bumps in the road so to speak and one of those bumps is Ronin. Ronin as her manager and boyfriend starts acting like a controlling ass and Rook is not sure why he is acting the way he is but she is not liking it and she has told him she will not back out of the contract. On the plus side Rook meets Ford who helps her out and shows her that she can be happy and she has the potential to do and be anything she wants to be. She isn't so sure because Ronin is always angry and he has secrets but he won't share and she keeps making stupid choices.
What is a girl to do? Can Rook ever get her HEA? What is wrong with Ronin? Is Spencer going to be okay? Well you have to read on to find out! Happy Reading!

AUTHOR BIO:
J. A. Huss likes to write new adult books that make you think and keep you guessing. Her favorite genre to read is space opera, but since practically no one reads those books, she writes new adult science fiction, paranormal romance, contemporary romance, urban fantasy, and books about Junco (who refuses to be saddled with a label).
She has an undergraduate degree in horses, (yes, really–Thank you, Colorado State University) and a master’s degree in forensic toxicology from the University of Florida. She used to have a job driving around Colorado doing pretty much nothing but shooting the breeze with farmers, but now she just writes, runs the New Adult Addiction and Clean Teen Reads Book Blogs, and runs an online science classroom for home schoolers.
