Happy Release Day to When Destiny Knocks By Heather M. White

Happy Release Day! As you all know I love to read indie authors and Heather is a new author and this is her debut book. Let's support our authors and go out and get her book from Amazon and soon Barnes & Nobles.

So as a treat her is two sneak peaks between the main characters Karlie and Shane.......

In this scene Karlie is questioning Shane about his father:

He looked very nervous. “That’s why this whole thing needs to be kept secret. My Dad wants
you dead. He can’t know about us meeting like this. It really isn’t safe for you Karlie. I just had to see
you.”
“But he said you were going to kill me.” This can’t be real. I suddenly felt sick to my stomach.
“I can’t Karlie. Don’t you see? I’ve come to care for you deeply. No matter how much distance I put between us, this feeling grows stronger.” His eyes met mine. “I know that I could not stand to live in a world that you’re not a part of.”
My heart melted at the words he said. I have wanted to hear those words since the first day I seen his beautiful green eyes from across the room… But it didn’t last long. His father wanted me dead.
The thought scared me.

This scene is Karlie and Shane dancing at a party, interrupted by Shane's father:

“Don’t worry. You are completely safe with me.” Shane put his arm around me and pulled me out to the dance floor.
With Shane I lose myself. I forget that he’s half-demon. I forget that I’m the chosen one. I forget the world where vampires, werewolves and demons exist. I forget his Dad wants me dead. It’s just me and him – and for that moment I feel special. I feel normal.
I could feel my heart race as Shane dips his head down to mine. When his lips touch mine I feel like my heart is going to explode. In that moment I almost let myself dream of a future with him.
Before I get to deep in my thoughts a terrible feeling comes over me. I pulled back from Shane’s embrace to see his Dad standing beside us.
“Hello Karlie,” his voice was full of hate as he said my name.
I grabbed Shane’s hand and did the only thing I knew to do… I ran.

16 year old Karlie has had a pretty normal life... But when her Mom dies she is force to move over 1,000 miles away to live with her Dad. That's when things start getting weird.

She can't explain the earthquakes that nobody else feels, or why she no longer sleeps. But most of all she doesn't know why she trusts Shane so much, even though his Dad wants her dead.

Suddenly, Karlie's normal life is turned upside down and she enters a world she never dreamed could really exist.

I am a returning resident to Arkansas. I just migrated south from Saint Louis, MO with my husband. We have almost been married a year. :)

I am the author of the book:When Destiny Knocks, Destiny Saga Book #1 and also the upcoming book My Fairytale Life, Vampire Hunter Series Book #1.

I love to write. I have been writing since I was a kid - literally. I decided in the 2nd grade I would write a book. I wrote lots of stories and poems... And did I mention I wrote over 200 songs? (Yeah, I'm a musician too). So I wrote my very first novel at the ripe age of 14... My Mom still has it :-/. Ok, so maybe it wasn't my best work, but I had a LOT of fun writing it!

I started college at the young age of 17. (I graduated high school at 16). And my English papers were always a hit in my classroom. Somebody told me "you should make that story into a book". I pushed it to the back of my mind... Until recently.

I LOVE TO READ. Besides writing it is my absolute favorite thing to do.

I love the TV series: Supernatural and Vampire Diaries... More like obsessed. I have seen every episode of Supernatural EVER. And I'm waiting for Season 3 of the Vampire Diaries to come out on Blue Ray... It's killing me.

I play music. I have played the guitar for 10 years, bass for 8 and drums for about 9. I use to play guitar in a band. We were actually good. But my bass player got pregnant and my drummer got engaged. And I decided music wasn't my "main" passion anymore.

I would love to talk to you! If you have any more questions or you want to talk feel free to contact me! :) I LOVE YOU ALL!

When Destiny Knocks is FINALLY available for purchase on Amazon! You can buy it HERE!.

Also, I hit publish on B&N, I will let you know when it's available for Nook!

I seriously can not even begin to explain how excited I am right now! I really feel like my dreams are coming true! :)

I hope you all enjoy my book! Let me know what you think!

Alex Heroine Tourney

Daimon (Covenant, #0.5) Half-Blood (Covenant, #1) Pure (Covenant, #2) Deity (Covenant, #3)

I am Team Alex all the way! I love Rose but Alex is a true heroine. Alex is my heroine because she is a beautiful smart girl who goes after what she wants and never holds back. She is there in a flash to help people out even her enemies. She is strong both physically and mentally and she needs no MAN to protect her because she will WHOOP SOME A$ when needed. She has a beautiful heart and she is a loyal friend to those who she is close to.

I became fascinated with this series after my book buddy JoJo said Tee let's read this series. I have heard so much about it. So we read Daimon first and then Half Blood and after reading those two books I said man I have a new HEROINE! Alex showed people that despite what happened to her mother she would never let her mother or any other Daimon get her or the people she loves.

Alex is a loyal friend. She helps when needed and she will fight side by side with her friends and for her friends. Alex also has brains, I say that because most girls in the books rely on someone and Alex really has no one to rely on so she thinks for herself. She may not make all the right decisions and YES she is a SNARKY SMART MOUTH HEIFER but she says what she means and means what she says!

I love ALEX for all those reasons and more so on December 23, 2011 I hope you vote for Alex because she represents what a real WOMAN is!

So go on over to Books Over Boys and enter to win a copy of Daimon, Half Blood, and a pre-order of Pure in honor of the heroine tourney and in honor of being Alex's advocate! http://booksoverboys.blogspot.com/

So because I love Alex and I WANT her to win I am going to up the anty and have a giveaway for TWO SETS OF THE SERIES YES YOU HEARD ME TWO SETS OF Daimon, Half Blood, and the Pre-order of Pure!!!! So what are you waiting for get to getting and go vote for ALEX and enter to win this awesome prize!

Also Jennifer L. Armentrout will post chapter 16 from Aiden's pov if Alex is victorious in this round! Man oh man we need to win because EVERYONE wants no NEEDS to hear Aiden's POV! And Jennifer has also sent this special message ........

500 Votes: If Alex reaches 500 votes, I will give you a juicy scene from Pure. It involves a pool, but will be edited to avoid spoilers.

750 Votes: If Alex gets 750 votes, I will give you Chapter 16 from Half-Blood in Aiden's POV. Yes, that chapter.

1000 Votes: If Alex get 1000 votes, I will give you Chapter 26 from Obsidian in Daemon's POV.

Yes, that chapter.

Winning votes: If Alex wins against Rose, I will write a very lengthy scene/ basically a freaking novella from Aiden's POV about a trip he and Leon took that involved searching down a certain daimon that got away at the end of Half-Blood.

I make up stuff for a living. Who knew I could get paid for that? Voices come to me, from deep inside my head and I consider that to be a good thing...for now. (No, I'm not on meds. That would really screw me up.) I'm an observer, a listener and a scribe. And I'm cynical by nature—and by choice—and frequently indulge my inner smart-ass. I'm perfectly content in the solitude of my head, poking and prodding the three pounds of gray matter taking up that space. Guess if my brain ever takes a real vay-kay, I can lease out my skull to a much more deserving occupant.

Favorite quote: The whole book but I chose this one “Take care of what is yours, Alastriana.” Hecate’s voice floated through Ree’s mind as she jolted awake. Her heart beat quickly and tears were gathered in the corners of her eyes. Reaching for the bottled water on her nightstand, she took a large swallow to ease her sore throat.

View Jasper.jpg in slide show  View Luke.jpg in slide show

I would like to welcome Jasper and Luke to my blog today. I would like to take the time to get to know you guys. I hope you don't mind the personal questions. A lot of readers want to know a few things about you guys growing up. So without further ado let me fire away.

Jasper: what was it like growing up with Luke?

I imagine Luke was like any regular pup or cub growing up. We’re just a few months apart, yeah? So did he act any different than me or my twin sister, Jane? No. He’s Maj, but we’ve never treated him differently for it and so I think it’s safe to say he was just a typical pup when he was growing up.

Was Luke serious growing up or did he have a sense of humor?

Luke is the joker of the bunch. He was forever playing pranks on Jane and I. His favorite one, of course, was to shift into his wolf and scare us when we were out in the woods. It used to get Jane every time.

How did Luke get along with your parents?

Very well. I was four when Dad found him in the woods. His family had been killed. He was too young to shift and if Dad had left him out there, he’d of perished also. I remember the look on my Mum’s face when he came in holding Luke by the hand. The first thing she did was throw him in the tub while Dad explained to her what had happened to his family. She cried. From that moment on, there was no question in any of our minds. He was their son, our brother. Of course, we didn’t always get along and he had his share of fights with my parents, but I’d say we were a well balanced family.

Was Luke a good hunter?

He was. When we started to shift and Dad started to take us out with him, it was obvious that his father had already started to prepare him. He knew how to track, how to anticipate where a herd might be. He’s got great instincts.

Enough about Luke, the ladies love you Jasper because you are very tentative and strong and always fight for what is right. So we have some personal questions and don't worry if you answer truthfully we promise not to tell Hayden.

Did you have many girlfriends growing up?

Um, no. I had two. The first, Beth, wasn’t serious. We saw each other a few times while I was training in Pinsaber. The second, Leah, was serious. We were young, mind you, and we both were aware that either one or even both of us might fate. When I told her I’d had my fated dream and that it wasn’t of her, she was devastated. She asked me to stay until I found my mate, but I couldn’t. When you dream of your fated one, you lose all interest in the opposite sex until you find that one. Leah never gave up that this might change, to the point that she became obsessive. She actually tried to kill Hayden to break my bond to her, thinking I could love her again if my fated one were dead.

Was it hard growing up with a twin sister? Did she scare all the girls away ;)

Yes… no… sometimes. I loved Jane. I know Hayden’s told me that twins from your world usually share a bond of some sort. With twins from Quelondain, well, it’s even more so. It’s almost like Jane was another piece of me. She knew what I was thinking; not thought for thought, but she always had an idea of what was going through my mind. Sometimes it was annoying. Sometimes it was useful. As for keeping girls away, no. She was killed before I started to get too interested in things like that. The day she died, I felt it. I felt as though a part of me was being ripped out of my being. I still miss her.

Tell us seven random things about you.

Umm…. Let’s see…

One; I hate fancy things. That includes clothes and food. The only thing I might spend extra money on is a good dagger.

Two; my favorite place to be is beside Hayden. We could be battling packs or stuck in a blizzard, but if she’s with me, I’m happy.

Three; next to Hayden, the most important thing in my life is my family.

Four; my favorite food is rabbit stew.

Five; you’re killing me here, Tee. Umm… when I was really small, before I could shift, I was scared of the dark. For some reason, that went away after I started to shift.

Six; I love snow.

And seven… well, my favorite color is green. I really don’t know what to tell you.

This question is personal but I have to ask, did you ever think you would find your soul mate? You were very busy in the army as a guard so did you think you would ever leave it and become a husband and a father?

When I first started dreaming of Hayden, I didn’t worry about it too much. It can take a few years to find the one you dream of; Quelondain is a big place, after all. It was after I ran into Tantara while out scouting that things started to seem a bit dismal. I rescued her from a pack of Maj and she brought me home to tend to my wounds and fix me a meal. When she explained to me she was one of the Wedelven guards sent to watch over the Chosen One I told her I was trying to find where she might cross from so I could get her back to Queen Melana. Tantara showed me a picture of her and Hayden that had been taken in the other world. I can’t even begin to explain the shock I felt when I realized that the woman in my dreams was the one who was going to either save or destroy us all. I must say that at that point, things seemed bleak. Not only was I fated to the Chosen One, she wasn’t even in this world and who knew when she was going to come back.

As for leaving the guard, well, no. It never occurred to me that I would leave it. Most guards that fate stay on. Of course, being fated to Hayden changes things a bit. The woman is never safe! I can’t leave her alone for two minutes without someone trying to abduct her. There’s also the fact that when she and I are apart, it hurts. Some fated couples feel a sort of emptiness when they’re apart. Hayden says she feels lost. For me, it hurts.

Since meeting Hayden, life for me has changed drastically. For the better. I love her. I love my life with her. Spending the rest of my life living in the peace and quiet of our clearing is the one thing that makes me happy.

Luke now you get to answer some questions about Jasper and do be honest because inquiring minds want to know.

Luke: What was it like growing up with Jasper?

Interesting and quite normal, I would think. We weren’t a normal family by everyone else’s description, but we were normal to us. Jasper was that annoying little brother and Jane was the overprotective sister. Baby Jared, well, baby Jared was a gem.

Was hunting fun with Jasper seeing as you two are not the same. Jasper is a Tiger and you are a Wolf so how did you guys hunt and what did you hunt for?

It made it interesting, to say the least. As humans, I’m taller than Jasper, but when we shift, well, a tiger has quite a bit more bulk than a wolf. I was usually the one that flushed out what we were hunting for and Jasper and Dad would take it down. Most of the time we hunted deer. They’re the biggest prey and we had a lot of mouths to feed at home. If Jasper and I went out on our own, we could bring a doe down by ourselves, or we stuck to smaller prey like rabbits.

Was it hard for you to get along with Jasper growing up? Does Jasper have a temper?

It was never hard to get along with Jasper. Other than the usual brotherly spats, we’ve always gotten along. As for his temper, well, I’ll have to go with yes and no. He’s a great man. He cares about everyone. Having said that, if you go out of your way to hurt someone he loves, chances are you won’t live to do it to anyone else.

Was Jasper a joker or was serious growing up?

He’s the serious one. He’s not a stick in the mud by any means, but he’s definitely the serious one.

Okay so Luke I asked Jasper some personal questions and I promise not to tell Mel but I am sure all the ladies want to know a few things.

Did you date growing up?

No. Not at all. I was the only wolf in an area filled with cats. If I’d dated, the chances of someone realizing what I was would have been much greater. It wasn’t so bad, though. I had my fated dream of Mel when I was fifteen and was lucky enough to find her shortly afterwards.

How was it growing up in a family of Tigers?

Noisy. We were a happy family and you know what cats do when they’re happy, yeah? They purr.

Tell us seven random things about you.

One; even though Dad had always been clear that I was a wolf, I was still a bit shocked when I shifted for the first time and found that I wasn’t a tiger.

Two; family, above all else, is important to me.

Three; my favorite place to be is in the Blue Woods.

Four; my favorite food is deer steak, but only if Mel uses her special spice she refuses to give me to recipe to.

Five; I can’t stand yoll eggs. I find they taste like dirt.

Six; it doesn’t matter that I know there’s something in the Wedelven River, every time I see it, I want to go for a swim.

And seven; well, I have no idea. Oh, wait… This is my very first interview. Ever.

Okay guys now that I know a little about you and thanks for being so candid with me I would like to ask you some questions about the ladies in your life.

Jasper: when you saw Hayden what were your first thoughts about her?

The first thing I remember thinking when I saw Hayden was ‘by the moons, you found her’! My second thought was that she had the most amazing eyes I’d ever seen.

Did you know she was your soul mate?

Yes. I’d been dreaming of her for the past six years. Actually finding her was quite simply mind blowing.

Are you happy you guys decided to be together?

Most definitely. She’s my life. We have discussed on more than one occasion whether or not it would be best for her to go back to her other world. We’ve even tried it once when we were trying to keep her safe. It’s just too painful.

This question is hard to ask but how do you feel not being able to have children with Hayden?

I love Hayden. When we realized we weren’t going to be able to have children, it was devastating. It’s something we’ve both wanted. Having said that, I’m grateful to have her and I’m perfectly happy spending the rest of my life with her in my arms.

What is your favorite thing to do with Hayden?

Sitting. I love when we sit and she leans back against my chest. I can feel her breathe and she always does this little sigh when I wrap my arms around her. We don’t even have to talk. Just sitting, touching, is enough.

Last but not least how do you really feel about all those guys throwing themselves at Hayden ;)

I suppose some men might get upset. Of course, no other man has the ability to feel what his wife or mate is feeling all the time. Now, I can’t be one hundred percent positive since I can’t tell how they feel, but I think it’s safe to say that most of the men are drawn to Hayden because she’s the Chosen One. By that, I don’t mean that they’d like her for their own because of the power or status. I’m actually fairly certain that it has to do with that certain quality that she has. She doesn’t mean to do it, but I think she calls to people, mostly men, because she needs guardians; beings that will love her and fight for her so she can be successful in her quest. Now, the reason I’m not jealous, is the simple fact that Hayden can’t hide how she feels from me and I know that even though she loves all of them, it’s not the same kind of love she feels for me.

Luke: When you saw Mel what were your first thoughts about her?

The very first thing I thought when I saw her just outside of Growlen was that she was so much more beautiful in person than she was in my dreams.

Are you happy you found your soul mate?

Most definitely. Mel is amazing. If I could have picked who my mate was, I would have picked her.

What makes Mel such a great wife and mother?

Her friendship and dedication. She’s the most loving of mothers to the twins. It’s the way she runs the house and keeps things moving smoothly no matter what kind of mess is happening around us. She’s simply amazing. I know I already said that, but really, she is. I love her dearly.

Will you guys try and have more children or are you done?

When the twins were six she went into heat. Unfortunately I was on patrols at the time and so we missed that chance to add to our family. Should she come into heat again and I’m around, we’ll be sure to take advantage of it, I’m sure.

What is your favorite thing to do with Mel?

Drink tea. I know, it sounds stupid, yeah? But really. It goes to the very first day I met her. We were both a little frazzled about finding each other and so she made tea so we could talk. From that day on, it’s been a ritual for us. She makes great tea.

Thank you guys for visiting A Diary of a Book Addict and thank you for being so honest and candid with us.

Jasper: It was our pleasure, Tee.

Luke: Most definitely.

The Forbidden Book Club

She is pretty and talented - sweet sixteen and never been kissed. He is seventeen; gorgeous and on the brink of a bright future. And now they have fallen in love. But... they are brother and sister.

Seventeen-year-old Lochan and sixteen-year-old Maya have always felt more like friends than siblings. Together they have stepped in for their alcoholic, wayward mother to take care of their three younger siblings. As defacto parents to the little ones, Lochan and Maya have had to grow up fast. And the stress of their lives—and the way they understand each other so completely—has also also brought them closer than two siblings would ordinarily be. So close, in fact, that they have fallen in love. Their clandestine romance quickly blooms into deep, desperate love. They know their relationship is wrong and cannot possibly continue. And yet, they cannot stop what feels so incredibly right. As the novel careens toward an explosive and shocking finale, only one thing is certain: a love this devastating has no happy ending.

Ever since Forbidden came out this past June, I have been wanting to read it. I admit though that I have been a little scared. The subject matter (brother/sister in love) is very taboo and I don't know how I will feel about it. When I heard about this book club, I figured it would be the perfect opportunity for me to get it read!

The book club is starting the book next Wednesday (12/7/11) so you should have plenty of time to get your hands on a copy!

If you would like to join in on this little book club make a post on your blog and add it to the linky over on the main blog post at Reading Teen! You can also find out more info about the book club in that post!

Cold Blood by Heather Hildenbrand Blog Tour Stop

Cold Blood (Dirty Blood #2)

Welcome to The Cold Blood Tour! I love the world Heather has created and I have been hooked since Dirty Blood and patiently awaiting book two Cold Blood. When I tell you I COULD NOT put the book down because it was SO SO GOOD, I am not lying. Heather has crafted a world where two worlds collide into one and Tara and Wes must fight the evil lurking with good.

There are new characters Cambria who is a kick a$$ Hunter and Tara's best friend. Logan who is a Hunter as well but olalala he is a brainiac and knows his stuff. Then there is Alex who is Tara's trainer and mentor. And you know with every great book there is always the antagonist and we have some in here but the biggest one is Victoria. She is a rich, spoiled B!@#$! She runs the school and harasses every new person who comes in.

So without further ado here is an excerpt from the book and because I LOVE LOVE this series I will be giving away three e-copies of Cold Blood. All you have to do is leave your name and e-mail address and on December 08, 2011 I will pick the three winners! Happy Reading :)

Angela and Sam were in the den. The room had been put back together since Leo’s intrusion, minus several pieces of furniture that were too broken to salvage. The couch was saved, along with the coffee table. A spare TV from the garage had been set up on a bookshelf and a brand new marbled glass globe covered the light fixture on the ceiling. Other than that, the room was pretty empty. It was the room that had seen the most destruction from Leo’s goons. Grandma said it was because the den was the first room I would’ve seen when I came home that day, and Leo knew that. He’d trashed the house even after my mother had agreed to go with him, all to get a reaction out of me and send me running after him. It had worked.
Sam was watching E! News and twirling a lock of silky hair between her fingers. Angela flipped through one of my mother’s gardening magazines. They both looked up when I came in.
“Hey, stranger,” Sam said, raising the remote to click the TV off.
“You should leave it on.” I sent a pointed look at the ceiling where muffled voices could be heard rising with each comment. “It’ll drown out the static.” I sank onto the couch, next to Angela. She gave me a sorrowful look.
“How are you?” she asked. “I mean, really?”
“Miserable,” I admitted. Though they only knew half of it, or maybe less than half. As far as they knew, I’d punched Cindy, my mother flipped out, and now I was being shipped off to boarding school. That, in itself, was enough to make a girl miserable, so I figured it was fine to admit.
“Yeah, I’d be miserable, too. But I mean, at least its co-ed,” Sam said. Angela shot Sam a look. “What? I’m trying to help her look at the bright side.”
“She’s with Wes, remember?” Angela whispered. They also both knew that my mother was not a fan of Wes.
“A girl can window shop,” Sam hissed back.
Angela turned to me, rolling her eyes. “You have to email us every day, okay? And call whenever you can. They will let you call, right?”
“I don’t really know. I’ll call as much as I can.”
“Oh, and we’re supposed to give you this.” Angela reached into her pocket and handed me a folded up piece of notebook paper, flattened out from all the handling. “It’s from George. You can read it later."
“Oh, no way, she reads it now. I’ve got to hear this.” Sam shifted like she was getting comfortable and waited expectantly.
I unfolded the paper and silently scanned the words. Oh geez. I looked up. Sam – and even Angela – was still waiting. Sam had the ghost of a grin on her lips. Judging by her smile, there was a good chance she already knew what it said. Making me read it out loud was icing on the cake. I cleared my throat and read in a low voice:

This Romeo is bleeding
But you can't see his blood.
It's nothing but some feelings
That this old dog kicked up
It's been raining since you left me
Now I'm drowning in the flood.
You see I've always been a fighter
But without you I give up.
Now I can't sing a love song
Like the way it's meant to be
Well, I guess I'm not that good anymore
But baby, that's just me
And I will love you, baby. Always
And I'll be there forever and a day. Always
I'll be there till the stars don't shine
Till the heavens burst and
The words don't rhyme
And I know when I die, you'll be on my mind
And I'll love you–Always
Love, George.

When I was done–and completely red faced–I lowered the paper and looked at the girls.
“Wow. That was…” Angela began.
“Hot,” Sam finished. “Who knew the boy had it in him? Do you think he got it off the internet?”
“No, he didn’t get it off the internet,” Angela argued.
Sam shrugged. “He could’ve. We should google it.”
"You guys? It's Bon Jovi." I folded the letter and shoved it into my jeans pocket. "It was our song. It doesn’t matter, anyway. I’m leaving, remember?”
“And you have Wes,” Angela put in.
“Who is way hotter than George,” Sam added.
I grinned; I couldn’t help it. “I’m going to miss you guys.”
Sam and I threw our arms around Angela and brought it in for a group hug that had us giggling until the doorbell rang. All three of us eyed each other with raised brows.
“Five bucks on George,” Sam said.

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Today is the day to be thankful for things we have and the things we will get soon. I personally am thankful for my family and friends. I have met a lot of awesome people over the year and I want to say thank you!

Today Rachel Vincent also released the cover to her new Novella called Never To Sleep so here is what she posted from her blog http://rkvincent.wordpress.com/author/rkvincent/

Yes, that’s Sophie, not-sleeping on the cover of “Never To Sleep.”

Again, here’s the description:

Don’t Close Your Eyes.

Sophie Cavanaugh is not going to let her freak of a cousin’s strange psychiatric condition ruin high school for them both. Not after all the work she’s put into cultivating the right look, and friends, and reputation. But then Sophie sees something so frightening she lets out a blood-curdling scream—and finds herself stuck in a bizarre parallel world where nothing is safe and deadly creatures lurk just out of sight, waiting for her to close her eyes and sleep…forever.

Could this world be real? Or does insanity run in the family…?

“Never To Sleep” comes out Jan 1 in the US and Canada, and it should be free for a limited time.

Plus don't forget Soul Screamers Volume One was released on Tuesday here is the cover (YIPPEE)

Breathless by Scott Prussing

Breathless by Scott Prussing
Title: Breathless

Author: Scott Prussing

Series: Book # 1 of Many

Release Date: August 2010

Source: Bought from Author Scott Prussing

Blurb: Breathless is a modern fantasy/romance novel in the mode of Twilight and Vampire Diaries, with enough new ideas to excite even the most devoted fans...

Weston College freshman Leesa Nyland has been fascinated by vampires since she was three years old. That's when her mom started acting weird, insisting sunlight hurt her skin because she'd been bitten by a one-fanged vampire.

But fascinated doesn't mean Leesa believes. Any more than she believes in blue fire, people who live for centuries, and kisses that can kill. But when her beloved older brother disappears after warning Leesa not to come looking for him, she is forced to consider all these and more.

She also has to figure out what to do about her mysterious new boyfriend. She knows Rave likes her a lot-so why won't he kiss her? And why is he always talking about vampires?

As Leesa draws closer to finding her brother, she faces some gut-wrenching decisions. Should she risk her mom's life trying to "cure" her? Should she continue seeing Rave, after he reveals his dangerous secret? And most terrifying of all, should she make the ultimate sacrifice-give up her humanity-to save her brother?

Warning: This book is One Fanged TERRIFIC! To learn more about the Blue Fire Saga, go to www.scottprussing.com

My Rating: 10 of 10

My Cover Thoughts: I love this cover! The blue fire coming from Rave’s hands into Leesa’s body is BEAUTIFUL!

My Thoughts/Review: WOW is the first word that comes to mind. I laughed and cried and threw this book because I wanted more. Lord this book had me up all night reading like a mad person. Tehehe I really enjoyed it!

Leesa is your all American girl but with a twist. She has a crazy mother who has checked out a long time ago and a brother who is missing. She has graduated from high school and wants to attend the same college as her brother. She has had this planned since forever but she really formulates a plan when her brother goes missing and sends her a cryptic e-mail not to look for him.

Now Leesa is in Connecticut going to college and she is super excited to start classes but she is also excited to start searching for her brother. As she looks for clues she can sense someone watching her but she is not sure who it is or why they are watching her. She is shy so she has few friends and she keeps to herself when her best friend tells her they are going to a party. Once at the party she feels like she needs some fresh air so she goes outside and that is when she meets a guy dressed all in black with eyes that draw you in. she talks to him and as she is staring into his eyes and getting lost in the moment she feels someone watching only she isn’t the only person who feels it.

The boy she is talking to leaves her side and a few minutes later she meets another guy she cannot take her eyes off of. She feels something for this guy like she never has before but as they get to know one another she realizes he is hiding something and she wants to know the truth. She confides in this stranger and tells him about her missing brother and how her life mission is to bring him home before their mother realizes he is gone.

Only Leesa knows that the guy she likes and the other mysterious guy are keeping secrets and she wants to know what they are. What will Leesa do when she finds out the truth about the true nature of each of these guys. Will she love Rave or will she love Stefan? Where is her brother? Can she save him? Want to know the answers to these questions well you will just have to buy the book!

Memorable Quotes: Page 186 Rave and Stefan talking

“It seems this is your lucky day, Volkanne,” Stefan said. “You’ll not die tonight.”

“I could say the same to you,” Rave replied, “were you not already dead.”

“Another time, another place, Volkanne,” Stefan promised, his eyes never leaving Rave’s as he backed away.

“I look forward to it, Vampire.”

Advice: This is a MUST read! You will fall in love with Leesa and Rave and Stefan.
