Summary from Godreads:

From acclaimed author Katie McGarry comes an explosive new tale of a good girl with a reckless streak, a street-smart guy with nothing to lose, and a romance forged in the fast lane

The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life-that's who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers...and she's just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT. The other? Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker-a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can't get him out of her mind.

Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks-no matter how angelic she might look.

But when their shared love of street racing puts both their lives in jeopardy, they have six weeks to come up with a way out. Six weeks to discover just how far they'll go to save each other.

5 of 5 Crash Into You

Crash Into You is an amazing just simply amazing story about two people who are lost in a sea of hurt, lies, and tragedies. Lord where to begin with this review without spoiling it for you readers is so difficult because Katie pulled out all the stops with this book. As we get to see Isiah in his own book we had glimpses into Isiah's life and at first I was rooting for him to be with Beth but when Beth meet Ryan I knew she was not for Isiah. Isiah was crushed by Beth being with Ryan but it was for the best because Isiah needed a girl who could complement him and meet his inner needs that he never shared with Beth because he kept them hidden deep down inside but when he meets the quiet but fierce Rachel Isiah is blown away.

Rachel is an awesome strong girl that is living in the shadows of her sister. She has over bearing brothers that don't let her do anything and her parents ignore her and she is a loner at school. No one will talk to her for fear of her brothers so she has no one but her brothers and her car that she loves to race. It is this love of racing that gets Rachel into trouble with Eric who Isiah knows. When Rachel and Isiah go to street race and the police are called all hell breaks lose and Isiah can't seem to want to leave Rachel alone so he does what he keeps telling himself not to and that is he helps Rachel out so she won't get caught by the police. But this starts off a war with Eric and Isiah and Rachel have to come up with some serious cash or Rachel is going to lose the only other thing be sides Isiah she loves her car.

As Isiah and Rachel try and figure things out they start to fall for one another and poor Isiah has fallen hard but he has been burned before by Beth so he has his heart guarded. Plus Isiah gets help from an unlikely source and that is Beths and Ryans friend Logan. Lord I loved Logan is this book because he is such a dare devil that all his antics are something else. I don't want to say anymore but I will say this that the characters that are in here are also from the previous books and you will not believe what is popping off and who it involves. So go out there and get the book because you will not be disappointed!

Synopsis:

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with freaky scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal.

But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.

Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

My Review

5 of 5 Pushing The Limits

OMG where to start with this review. First I would like to thank Netgalley for allowing me to read and ARC copy. I have to say that I have never ever read such an emotional book that tore at my heart. I cried and I laughed and I was sad all in one night. Pushing the limits was like reading about reality for foster kids and for teens who have horrendous things happen to them. The rich are not tax exempt from traumatic things happening to them and I was glad when Katie brought that out. I have seen a lot of foster kids make it out of the ghetto as it is referred to. So enough of my babbling and on to the story that had my heart beating so fast and will stay with me forever!

Noah... Noah... Noah... Lord Noah is a guy that is broken. He has lost everything. He lost his parents the night of the fire and then he lost his brothers to a foster family. He went to one home and they went to another. He works to make money to save for college and to get his brothers back. He is the EPITOME of bad boy! The one your parents told you to stay away but deep down Noah is brilliant and has qualities he would to share but the system has made him hard so he keeps everything bottled up inside.

Echo... Lord have mercy on Echo.... she has gone from Miss popular with everything to Miss Freak with nothing in a nano second. What happens behind closed doors has finally met reality. Echo has suffered at the hands of someone she had trusted and love and all she has now are nightmares and scars. Her father is drill Sargent and very controlling over her and she has a step mother she hates and her real mother is MIA and forbidden to see her and the icing on her cake is her brother Ares is dead. What is a girl to do when she is so broken.

Noah and Echo are put together by the social worker at school. She wants Noah to get his grades up so he can go to college and she knows that Echo is on the only person who can help him. What they don't expect to happen is that Noah and Echo fall in love and help each other heal a past that is wrought with disappointment and pain. Noah can give Echo what she needs and Echo can give Noah everything he needs. Will these two polar opposites be able to wade through the mud and be together or will the past and the need for normalcy haunt them and tear the apart?

This story is so heart breaking and full of raw emotions and situations that you will need a box of tissues while you read it. Katie thank you for writing an EPIC story and I look forward to reading more from you.

Synopsis:

Katie McGarry captivated readers with her “riveting, emotional”* Young Adult debut, Pushing the Limits. In this gripping novella, she tells the story of Lila and Lincoln, who discover that sometimes it’s worth crossing the line for love…

Lila McCormick, Echo's best friend from Pushing the Limits, first met Lincoln Turner when tragedy struck both their lives. But she never expected their surprise encounter would lead to two years of exchanging letters—or that she’d fall for the boy she’s only seen once. Their relationship is a secret, but Lila feels closer to Lincoln than anyone else. Until she finds out that he lied to her about the one thing she depended on him for the most.

Hurting Lila is the last thing Lincoln wanted. For two years, her letters have been the only thing getting him through the day. Admitting his feelings would cross a line he’s never dared breach before. But Lincoln will do whatever it takes to fix his mistakes, earn Lila’s forgiveness—and finally win a chance to be with the girl he loves.

5 of 5 Crossing The Line

Crossing The Line is an amazing novella that will leave you breathless. I mean Katie knows how to write a story that captures you right from the beginning and keeps you reading needing no wanting more and more by the minute. I for one need a novel on Lincoln AKA Linc and Lila. They are such a beautiful couple and the struggles they face both personally and together had me rooting for them all along.

Lila is Echo's best friend and she meets Lincoln at Echo's brothers funeral and they hit it off but they live far away from each other and make a pact to write and talk to each other and see where the long distance relationship goes. As they write each other and share their lives with each other they get closer to one another and Lila decides she is going to go to the same college as Linc and then they can start a relationship.

Only Linc is not sharing everything with Lila. See Linc has a troubled home life and his only peace and solace is Lila and when his world falls all around him he knows he has to come face to face with Lila and explain a few things. He knows this could be the end of their relationship but he has to tell her the truth because Lila is going to face college for the first semester alone without Linc.

Will Lila forgive Linc once he tells her the truth or will she decide that the friendship they built was based on lies and walk away? This is a must read novella for all you Katie McGarry fans out there!

Synopsis:

Ryan lowers his lips to my ear. "Dance with me, Beth."

"No." I whisper the reply. I hate him and I hate myself for wanting him to touch me again....

"I dare you..."

If anyone knew the truth about Beth Risk's home life, they'd send her mother to jail and seventeen-year-old Beth who knows where. So she protects her mom at all costs. Until the day her uncle swoops in and forces Beth to choose between her mom's freedom and her own happiness. That's how Beth finds herself living with an aunt who doesn't want her and going to a school that doesn't understand her. At all. Except for the one guy who shouldn't get her, but does....

Ryan Stone is the town golden boy, a popular baseball star jock-with secrets he can't tell anyone. Not even the friends he shares everything with, including the constant dares to do crazy things. The craziest? Asking out the Skater girl who couldn't be less interested in him.

But what begins as a dare becomes an intense attraction neither Ryan nor Beth expected. Suddenly, the boy with the flawless image risks his dreams-and his life-for the girl he loves, and the girl who won't let anyone get too close is daring herself to want it all....

5 of 5 Dare You To

Dare You To is such a brilliant read! I could not put this book down and it took me 10 hours to read this book. I have to say that Katie is BRILLIANT! She brought us Pushing The Limits where we met Noah and Echo and in Dare You To we get to met Beth and Ryan. I have to say that Beth's story was totally incredible and I can't wait to read about Isiah. I have to say that at first I wanted Beth to be with Isiah because in Pushing The Limits they worked well together and the two of them had this bound that was unbreakable and I truly believed when we picked up Dare You To Isaiah and Beth would be together working things out in her aunts basement. But what I got instead is a love story like no one's business! Katie truly knows how to put a story together that has you at the edge of your seat and you think you know right where Katie is going and she goes the other way to make the story more believable.

Beth I love me some Beth. She is complicated but she is not. She has been deserted by everyone she knows. Her father left her and her mother leaves her and finally the straw that breaks the camels back is Isaiah and her are hanging on by a string. Beth is taken from her mother's custody and sent to live with her fathers brother Scott who is a retired New York Yankees player. Beth fights this tooth and nail but her uncle tells her if she does not go with him and give life a new try he will have her mother sent to jail for everything she is involved in. Beth feels like he is black mailing her but she has no choice.

Once Beth moves to the new town she realizes that she has a friend there but she is not the same and Beth is not the same. For one Beth keeps to herself and she hides everything. So you may think you know Beth you in fact don't know squat about her and her family life. You get to see in this book what happened to her parents and how she ended up living with her aunt and Isaiah. You also get to see Beth fall in love for the first time and who the boy is and how this boy changes Beth for the better and does not hold her back or down. As I sat reading Beth and Ryan's story I could help but fall in love with Ryan and how protective he is and how he would do anything for Beth except coddle her and that is what she needs. She needs someone who is going to stand by her and protect her but also give it to her straight. When you read this story you are going to love it!
