Rodeo Rebel (Sisters of McDougal Ranch #4) by Debra Kayn Blog Tour Stop

When widower and land baron Cole Reardon acquired the Turner Grain Corporation, he didn't know the company sponsored a bull rider. He refuses to support thrill-seekers dumb enough to get on the back of a crazed animal. He’s not willing to risk his fortune and livelihood when he has his daughter's well-being to consider. Not even when the bull rider is the sexiest woman he's ever seen.

Bull rider Florentine McDougal plans to turn pro after the season championship, fulfilling her lifelong dream of succeeding in a man’s world. That is, until Cole Reardon shows up and threatens to break his sponsorship contract with her. Now everything she’s worked for is less than eight seconds away from being destroyed.

Cole distracts Florentine with his sexy mouth and unreasonable demands, and he's not going to compromise his integrity. But she's not going to let him loose until she has pro status. And neither will come away from this dust-up unscathed.

MY REVIEW

Entangled has done it again! Debra Kayn has written a series that was FREAKING INCREDIBLE! Rodeo Rebels is a MUST READ! this is the fourth book in the series called Sisters of McDougal Ranch. HOLY BULL RIDING this book had me at the edge of my seat. I have seen bull riding and tried it and dam it is not a sport for a lady let me tell you. It takes a lot of strength and stamina to ride a bull and not get injured.

Florentine Lace McDougal is a female bull rider with one goal in mind and that is to win the PBRA and be known as the first woman bull rider. She wants to mentor girls and show them that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to. No matter what anyone says if they want to do something they can do it. As the only female bull rider in an all male sports Flo puts up with a lot of crap from these guys and as she sets her eyes on the prize a few curve balls are thrown at her. The biggest curve ball being Cole Reardon and Sarah Reardon.

Cole has issues with sponsoring someone who could potentially get hurt or even die. So Cole sets out to change Flos mind about bull riding and what happens to them is an incredible love story. Cole will have to let his guard down and learn to trust Flo. He will also have to learn to let his daughter live and breathe some and with the help of the McDougal Ranch Cole will learn a few things about himself that he never dared to dream. Cole will have to decide to let Flo in or cancel his sponsorship of her bull riding. What is a man to do when he is faced with a decision that will make or break him? Will he love or run the other way and stay guarded? This is a summer MUST READ! I am currently reading the first three books because I loved loved reading about the McDougal sisters and their swoon worthy men.

Entangled is blowing up the reading market right now with all there releases and all there sexy swoon worthy men. Dare I say they their authors are INCREDIBLE!

Rodeo Rebel is available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

INTERVIEW WITH DEBRA
Good morning readers,
Today we have the lovely Debra Kayn interviewing with us. She has written a book called Rodeo Rebel Sisters of McDougal Ranch, #4 and Lord have mercy on me because that story is one rodeo H-A-W-T-N-E-S-S! ***winks if you know what I mean***

I have been to a rodeo a few times and man oh man the adrenaline rush you get is exciting and riding that bull is the craziest thing I have ever done in my life. The rush you get when you’re riding that bull takes you places you have never known existed. I can see why Flo wanted to be the next champion. Well enough of my ramblings here are a few questions we or actually I am dying to know that answers to.

In the beginning why is Cole so against supporting Flo as a rider?
Cole lost his wife, due to risky behavior, and as a single father of a seven year old who is trying to teach his daughter about responsible behavior, supporting a bull rider goes against everything he believes in. The poor stubborn cowboy doesn’t know what to do with Florentine.

What made Cole realize he had romantic feelings for Flo?
The McDougal gals are pretty irresistible, but when he learns Florentine isn’t all tough bull rider, but soft hearted woman underneath her dusty chaps and lucky cowgirl hat, he starts seeing her in a different light. He gets a little help from his daughter too!

What was really going on in Flo’s mind when she found out Cole was not going to support her riding career?
She might have a little temper behind her blonde curls, but her daddy made sure before he died that her contract was tighter than a tick on a dog. She wasn’t letting him walk away, no matter how much he threatened her.

When did Flo realize she had romantic feelings for Cole?
In the hospital, but bull riding comes before everything. Plus, she has a little rule about no hanky panky during the rodeo season.

How does Sarah feel about Cole and Flo?
Growing up with an overprotective father isn’t easy, but Sarah’s got a mind of her own and a wild spirit. Maybe it’s her ginger hair, but when she says she wants a momma like the other kids, she means it! All the McDougal women fascinate Sarah, but Florentine treats her with respect and understands her.

What song would you say sums up Cole and Flo’s relationship and why?
Hm, tough one! I’ll pick You Don’t Know a Thing About Me by Gary Allan.

Where do Cole and Flo see each other in 3 years?
Florentine will be working with other young girls and motivating them to go after their dreams. Cole is even richer and is still fighting to control his feisty daughter. Sarah…well, she always wanted a brother or sister. ;)

Can you give us 7 random facts about Cole and Flo that we did not read about in the story?
Florentine drove Cole crazy around the McDougal ranch. It might’ve had something to do with skimpy cutoffs and bare stomachs. She knew exactly what she was doing to him.

At first Cole believed Ryan had his eye set on Florentine, and had to have a man to man chat with him in the barn.

Once, and only once, Cole messed up and thought Chantilly was Florentine (they’re identical twins). Luckily it was when he was fooling around at the 4th of July party and accidently threw a water balloon at the wrong sister. No one knows, and he was able to cover himself.

Florentine knew Cole mistook Chantilly for her during the water balloon fight, but enjoyed the way Cole felt guilty afterward.

Cole admired her during her first ride even though he wouldn’t admit it to himself.

Cole donated to the ALS foundation in Florentine’s name at the end of the season. To this day, Florentine has no idea Cole did that out of respect to her daddy.

There were many times Florentine thought about giving up and going home while on the circuit, but pure McDougal pride kept her going.
.Debra thank you again for coming on A Diary Of A Book Addict and answering some questions for your readers. I know you have a huge following with this series and this is the fourth book in the series. How many books are going to be in the series? I hope a lot more because I love my rodeo boys with their big ole smiles and cowboy boots and chaps! Thanks again Debra and happy rodeoing!

Thank you for having me here today. I loved the questions you asked! There’s one more book in the series. Bisette needs to find her a man! But, that won’t be the last cowboy book you’ll see from me. Stay tuned, because I have news coming soon!

Remember, if Rodeo Rebel reaches the top 100 by August 8th, I’m giving away a pair of cowgirl boots and a cowgirl hat. No purchase necessary! All the details are here http://www.debrakayn.com/2012/07/contest-if-rodeo-rebel-makes-it-to-top.html

Well howdy, Ms. Debra. It's your friendly bloggerhood stalker again.

If all else fails, you will have plenty of entertainment from the girl falling all over herself to get a copy of your book. Yeah. I mean, why don't I just buy a copy? I will if I have to. :P

Naw, I'm really here to show my support as much as anything else. Every interview I read has me wanting to read Florentine's story more and more. I think that's considered entrapment. ;)

See y'all next time!
