Skye Morrison Vampire Series By J.L. McCoy

Skye Morrison has a lot in common with today’s college graduates; she’s neck-deep in student loan debt and desperate for a job. For four years, the nightlife of Austin, Texas (home of Skye’s Alma Mater) has satiated her thirst for good music, a revamp in fashion and men – especially local musician, Jameson Doyle, but her spot as a waitress at Drop Kick Dan’s bar wasn’t going to cut the slack. A personal life troubled by a hounding ex only made matters worse. Skye was never the damsel in distress type, but when an unexpected public shouting match with her ex turned physical, a savior disguised as a heavenly gorgeous Irishman came to her rescue. Archer Rhys, a businessman with a lot to offer, doesn’t exactly sweep Skye off her feet but she couldn’t help but to be captivated by his ravenous good looks. When Archer makes Skye a lucrative job offer as his personal assistant for his new downtown Austin club, The Mausoleum, she quickly finds out that she may have gotten more than she bargained for.

In this breakout novel, J.L. McCoy takes the reader on an indulgent descent into a modern-day counterculture of nighttime extravagances. Close your eyes, succumb to intense passion, sip a Vampire’s Kiss and let the pounding of the club music overtake you. With animated detail, you’ll find yourself on an unimaginable journey deep into the lair and grasp of Archer Rhys and his mind games. Distracted by Jameson’s charm and blinded by Archer’s allure and generous paycheck, Skye’s new life invokes the reader’s empathy as she’s surrounded in a whirlwind of desire, deceit and even death. Blood of the Son; this isn’t your little sister’s vampire novel.

MY REVIEW

4 OF 5 SINS OF THE FATHER

In this second installment of The Skye Morrison Vampire series we pick up right where we left off. Skye is know working for Archer and she seems to have it all. She has her friends and she has the two men that she loves. What more can a girl ask for? Well everything is not what it seems and when Archer tells Skye a secret he has been holding it is a game changer for her and she is not sure what to do about it. If matters could not be worse Skye and the gang find out that one of Houston's business owners and a big wig in town Greyson Mead is dead. Lord what is going on?

Then Skye goes home one day to find something very wrong and gruesome in her driveway and she is forced to go stay with Archer and the guys and guess who is staying there to...... Yes you guessed it Jameson! What a love triangle because she wants them both and they have made it clear they want her. But who will she choose? Who is better for her? She is in Archers home and the guys are all there so maybe just maybe she may not have to choose right away. She better decide though because I have a feeling Archer is not in the mood and habit of sharing.

Archer and Jameson and the gang have much more pressing matters to worry about and that is there is a crazy vampire killer on the lose and he will stop at nothing in order to kill all the vampires.Who is this vampire killer? Where is he? What is doing? Why does he want to kill all the vampires? And is Archer and Jameson in serious danger?

Find all these answers and more in this sequel! Man it is full of action and a little romance but dam if Archer and Jameson don't steal my heart and breathe away in this book!

The Original Sin (Skye Morrison Vampire #3)
Skye Morrison's life lately has been anything but ordinary. Attempting to pull together the pieces of her life that have been ripped to shreds after being kidnapped and tortured by Amun- who happens to be the father of all vampires-her dreams are haunted by memories of those recent fateful and horrific events. Skye struggles with her split feelings and the raw sexual tension with her lover, Jameson Doyle and boss Archer Rhys-the continuous object of her sexual fantasies. Residing at Archer's lakeside mansion with the rest of the vampire clan, Skye attempts to maintain a normal routine. With the vampire army, The Faithful, attempting unsuccessfully to capture Amun, her nightmares take her down a twisted spiral of entrapment and terror, taking its toll on her daily life. Haunted and hunted by the psychotic and mind-twisting Amun, Skye goes through dark and violent changes, revealing a side of herself she didn't know existed and ultimately leading to a shocking conclusion.

MY REVIEW

4 OF 5 ORIGINAL SINS

In Original Sin Skye is dealing with the aftermath of her being kidnapped and tortured by the father of all vampires Amun. She was kidnapped and tortured and she never broke but that still doesn't mean she wasn't affected in a way. She has these nightmares and she is becoming increasingly cranky and moody. She is lashing out and the gang is worried about her.

She is still at Archers mansion with Jameson and Archer. She is still in love with the two men and she has not decided what to do. She wants to chose one but who will her heart pick because Jameson is everything she wants and needs but there is definitely sexual tension between her and Archer. As she struggles with her feelings for both men she gets even more moodier because she wants them both but are they up to sharing?

The gang is trying to help her but something is different about her since she was rescued. She senses it and the gang senses it to. They are on the hunt for Amun and they want to destroy him because he is as evil as evil comes and he wants to do something with Skye and the gang has not figured out what it is.

What will happen to Skye? Will she continue to be tormented even though she is home and in the arms of Jameson? Why does Amun want her and what can she give him? Will Archer win Skyes heart and her bed? Man this thoird book had me at the edge of my seat screaming at the book like a lunatic. Man if a Kindle could talk back it would have told me to shut the hell up! Yes this is that kind of book and we have to wait a year for the next one. Man am I going to miss Jameson. Skye can have Archer but I want Jameson ;)
