ARC Tour: Iridescent (Ember #2) by Carol Oates and Omnific Publishing

When Candra Ember wakes up in hospital after a dangerous encounter with a red-haired woman, she is shocked to discover that seeing a winged boy wasn’t her imagination. Candra is exposed to a world of rivalry and sacrifice she never knew existed, and the aftermath of a war to save humanity thousands of years ago. Soon she finds herself relentlessly stalked by Sebastian, a beautiful and arrogant Watcher Angel and romantically pursued by his darkly seductive rival, Draven. Ultimately, dubious about her own goodness, Candra’s very existence compromises a tentative peace in the city of Acheron.

First I would like to Thank AToMR Tours for allowing me to be on this EPIC tour. I have to say that anyone who knows me knows I love Angel stories. This Angel story totally blew me away! Not only was it clean but it grabbed you right from the first page and kept you reading until the end. I was literally sitting on the edge of the couch reading wondering and talking out loud saying oh Lord what is going to happen?

Imagine this one day you are walking around fine minding your own business when you are attacked by a crazed red headed lady and you end up in the hospital. When you wake up you have no idea what has happened and why. Well welcome to Candra's world! She wakes up from being attacked and she can't figure out what has happened and why. She will soon find out because she is being stalked by a Nephliem Sebastian. Sebastian is a watcher angel and his job is to watch over and take care of her only something changes when he finds out she is in danger.

As Candra leaves the hospital she soon finds out that she is not normal. She has a special gift and her decisions will decide the fate of the world. She will have to chose between good and evil. Then she meets Draven. Draven is the bad boy you love to hate but hate to love and soon Candra will have to chose a path and that path will decide the fate of the world. What is a girl to do? Will she love the good and embrace it or will she embrace the bad?
Candra Ember used to dream of saving the world one person at a time. She never expected to become an angelic weapon and the last hope in the battle against ultimate darkness.

Falling for a Nephilim wasn’t part of Sebastian’s plan. Distraction is something he can’t afford when his rival, Draven, wants what Sebastian has.

Lies, manipulation, and corruption are twisting the lives of the citizens in Acheron. The Arch is missing from Heaven, and a demon is intent on claiming the city. At a time they should be growing closer, grief and paranoia is driving Candra and Sebastian apart.

If the price of restoring the Watchers to Heaven is a human soul, who deserves to be saved?

In this sequel to Ember we get to see so much more. I want to Thank AToMR Tours for allowing me to be a part of this EPIC Tour! Iridescent picks up right where Ember leaves off. All Candra wants to do is save the world. She wants a world where there is peace and everyone gets along and no one has to suffer. Well that is not Candra's reality because she is smack dab in the middle of a war between good and evil. She is the angelic weapon the angels intend on using. She is the last hope for mankind.

Sebastian is very happy about being with Candra. He never thought he would fall in love with a Nephilim. He never thought he would have to fight Draven for Candra either. See Draven wants her for his own and he will stop at nothing to get her. What is an angel to do? Sebastian will have to pick his battles with Draven because one false move and he could lose Candra.

The city of Acheron is falling apart. The Arch is missing from Heaven and the demons are coming to claim the city. The city is full of lies, secrets, and corruption. With the city falling apart and Draven running wild what is Sebastian and Candra to do? Will the good out way the bad? Will Draven win Candra or will she stay with Sebastian and fight the good fight?
Carol Oates has never been one to remain still for long. After her mother’s mad dash to the hospital through the empty city streets of Dublin, Ireland, Carol made her debut into the world in the early hours of Christmas morning. Since then her pace has not slowed down in the least.

Carol was introduced to the world of supernatural books when, as a child, her family moved to a coastal suburb of north Dublin known as Clontarf; famous as the birthplace of Bram Stoker, the prolific author responsible for breathing life into the legendary story of “Dracula.” This stirred in Carol an early passion for reading about all things supernatural. When that passion was combined with a deep interest in the history and folklore of Ireland, as well as an active and vivid imagination, Carol Oates, the author, was born. Carol’s love of writing about anything not entirely “human" emerged.
