SourceBooks Presents The Lies That Bind (The Liar Society #2) by Lisa Roecker & Laura Roecker Blog Tour Stop

Just when Kate Lowry thought she had life at elite private school Pemberly Brown figured out, she cracks open a fortune cookie to find a message from her best friend Grace--who's supposed to be dead.

Another Sister Gone

A classmate has gone missing, and Kate soon realizes that the disappearance is tied to the secret societies that rule her private school. Her best friend died for their secrets, and there's no way she'll let them get away with it twice. It's up to quirky outsider Kate to get some answers, but in a school where every answer leads to more questions and nothing's as it seems, who can she trust?

The Lies That Bind was an excellent read. I love stories with mystery and intrigue in them and this had it all. It began where the first book left off. Kate is still reeling from the disappearance of her best friend. She knows the secret society had something to do with it but she is not sure who they are and how to prove it to the authorities. All she wants to do is fit in at her Elite Private School Pemberly Brown. So when she opens up a fortune cookie and gets a message from her best friend who is dead she knows there is something wrong.

If matters could not get worse another girl from the school goes missing and Kate knows that the secret society is up to no good again but how can she prove it and how can she save the missing girl? Who can she trust? Can she trust Liam or Seth? Will she be able to help out this missing girl.

This is a great follow up to the first book and as you are reading you will be swept away by the story and all the ups and downs that Kate goes through.
Lisa and Laura Roecker are sisters-turned-writing-partners with a love of all things Young Adult. Some call it arrested development, but the sisters claim it keeps them young. Plus, its cheaper than Botox. Lisa and Laura live in Cleveland, Ohio in separate residences. Their husbands wouldn't agree to a duplex. THE LIAR SOCIETY is their first novel.
